Having More Than One Canada Express Entry Profile

Concluding an Express Entry profile is the first stage to migrating to Canada permanently as a skilled employee. An ITA (invitation to apply) for PR will be allocated according to your points and rank in the Express Entry pool utilizing the CRS (comprehensive ranking system).

The Comprehensive Ranking System is the points-based structure utilized to evaluate candidates in the Express Entry pool. Every candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System points according to many aspects, including academics, experience, employment skills, and language capacity. Based on the Canadian administration, you must only have one Express Entry profile at a time. This law is included in Canada’s immigration policy.

Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) underlines that developing more than one profile will not provide you a more excellent prospect of being requested to apply for Canadian PR, nor will it allow you to be asked under a varied program.

Identical Profiles in the Express Entry Pool

Based on a Strategic approach and planning account from early 2023, even though applicants may only possess one enthusiastic profile in the pool at any period, applicants may develop a new GCKey and present a new profile. A GCKey is a special electronic certification with a username and password that permits a candidate to have online entry to government services.

Over so many years, the number of copies of profiles in the pool has just been in the hundreds. With this kind of reduced numbers, no efforts by Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada to take out these profiles were considered significant. Hence, the number of copies of profiles in the Express Entry pool expanded significantly in 2022.

On the 9th of January 2023, there were 29,945 copies of Express Entry profiles related to 10,229 special applicants. To discover duplicate profiles, the account recognized special applicants by comparing the information components, including the name, birth date, and more. The report does not identify the reason candidates developed multiple profiles, but it declares that:

  • In 70 percent of the situations, there was no alteration in Comprehensive Ranking System points between any two provided profiles of an applicant. This type of increased figure does not show a trial to play the system.
  • Fifty-three percent of every identical profile has been nonactive for 100 days, recommending that several duplicates have been relinquished.
  • The number of applicants with above one profile elevated by 57 percent from October to November, demonstrating a reaction to the 16th November deadline to update profiles with NOC 2021 data.

The statement was completed by declaring that there is no evident demonstration of innocence worries within the Express Entry structure but that the mere number of identical profiles may demand an action by Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to tidy the pool.

Eligibility For Express Entry

To qualify for Express Entry, applicants must satisfy the standards of a minimum of one of the following three national economic immigration plans, which include the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

The Federal Skilled Workers Program is Canada’s foremost economic immigration route. The least conditions have to do with the following:

  • A minimum of 12 months of steady full-time or equivalent reimbursed work skills in the last ten years in a skilled profession under the NOC TEER category 0,1,2 or 3.
  • Authenticated middle or better language proficiency in English or French.
  • An academic certification for applicants trained outside of Canada includes a diploma or degree and an Educational Credential Assessment report.

Furthermore, to satisfy the Federal Skilled Workers Program’s least work, language proficiency, and academic conditions, applicants must also receive a minimum of 67 points under its scores grid. The Canadian Experience Class offers PR to international students and employees with Canadian employment skills. Applicants must have received a minimum of 12 months of skilled, expertise, or technical work skills in Canada within 36 months of the application date and satisfy the necessary language skills measures.

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is obtainable to applicants who intend to become PR on the grounds of eligibility for a skilled trade. Qualification measures have to do with the following:

  • Before presenting a request, at least 24 months of full-time work skills in a skilled trade within the 5-year.
  • Satisfying the employment conditions of the skilled trades
  • Possessing a full-time employment offer in Canada for a duration of a minimum of 12 months or having credential eligibility in the skilled trade that an official Canadian administration has offered,
  • Satisfying language skills standard
